AMAZING WEATHER!!!
Hey everyone!
I'm back! I'm sorry that I haven't written in so long, but I figured that there is no point being on the computer when it is gorgeous outside! God is SO good! He has given us this BEAUTIFUL world, so why don't we go out and enjoy it! I know it is hard sometimes, when the excuse creeps into our heads saying, "I'm too busy today". Everyone should go outside today and enjoy this great weather even it is just for 20 minutes!
Lately I have decided that I haven't been prioritizing my time! I have been spending way too much time on the computer! It takes up SO much time!!! So for the next week I am not going to be using Facebook (that is my downfall, I am a Facebook addict!). I thought at first that it would be impossible, but it isn't. I have already gone two days without using it and it is REALLY easy! I have so much more time for other things! I know that by now you guys are wondering what the point of that ramble was, but I felt like writing it! I hope that everyone has a GREAT day!!!!

An interesting weekend!
Hey everyone!
I must say that this certainly was an interesting weekend! OK, first I will tell you how the weekend was supposed to go. Katy, Jen, and I were going to go to the Lutz's house on Thursday (Abby was working) and spend the night, then they were going to come home with us because they wanted to come to our Spanish Bible study.
All right, that is how it was supposed to go, now here is how it went. We went to their house on Thursday and spent the night. On Friday morning I was pretty tired because I had stayed up until 2 AM talking to Cody. :) So, we woke up on Friday and took a walk, cleaned the house, and then were finally ready to go. We normally go home through Perry, but we had to pick up one of our friends so we went through Warsaw. As were got out of Warsaw we came to the corner on Saltvale Road where the train tracks are. As we were rounding the curve we hit a pick up truck coming around the curve. I remember seeing it coming at us and knowing that we were going to hit. Then I heard a sickening crunch of metal and Christy screaming. I looked up and saw that both of the air bags had gone off. I asked if everyone was ok. None of us were seriously hurt. I was the first one out of the van because I was sitting in the middle seat next to the door. I asked the lady from the truck if she was alright, but she said that she didn't know because her husband was slumped over. Jen told me to call 911 (it was my first time and I hope that I NEVER have to do it again). She then started asking the guy in the truck if he could hear and see her and then she and Cody prayed for him. The EMT workers arrived REALLY quickly. They were all REALLY great! I then called our mom and then the Lutz's mom. Then I went around checking if everyone was ok. Katy had a little cut under her eye from a skateboard rail that we were taking to our house. Christy was REALLY scared and Katy was comforting her. When Mom and Dad arrived we were taken to the hospital to be checked up on. We ended up staying there for 5 hours. Jen and Christy got an X-ray. Mom and Dad bought McDonald's for us and we all sat on the various emergency room beds and ate it. I am REALLY happy because I got in some Beverly Hillbillies and Hannah Montana while I waited! So it wasn't a complete loss! After we got home from the ER we hung out for a couple hours and then went to the Spanish Bible study. None of us really wanted to go to the Bible study, but we still did. I am REALLY glad that we did go because Jen, Cody, Nicholette, and I got to go out and witness. We then came home and went to bed. We were all REALLY tired! The Lutzs and Nicholette left on Saturday and we had a normal Saturday.
Ok, right after the accident I kept wondering what God's purpose was. I think that part of it was that when we went out witnessing we got to start our conversations with, "I almost died today in a car crash, where would you go if you died today?" Thinking back over the accident there were A LOT of things to be thankful for! No one was seriously injured, and we just missed the three motorcyclists that were in front of the truck. Also, all of us were buckled up. Cody and Nicholette weren't going to wear a seat belt because if you are 16 you don't have to wear one in the back seat. Well it is a good thing they were because they could have gotten REALLY hurt! We hit the back of the truck so it didn't hurt the driver bad. Because if it had been a second sooner or later there would have been some serious injuries! We also got to be a witness to the people at the accident by praying. We also got A LOT closer!
So, if you don't call that an interesting weekend than I don't know what one would look like! I am just SO THANKFUL that everyone is all right! Have a GREAT week everyone!!!!

Catching up
Hey everyone!
I am sorry that I haven't posted in such a long time. I am just going to get you guys caught up on what has been happening lately. I found out yesterday that I am going to start working again, so I am REALLY excited about that. I have been spending a lot of time with friends lately. I am SO thankful that God has blessed me with such good friends.
OK, so now I am going to tell you about what I have been learning about in my devotions. God has been teaching me that I need to be more of a witness for Him. I mean, if John the Baptist could be a witness for Jesus when everyone mocked him out and thought that he was crazy I think that I can!!! That is what I have learned lately.
It has been very hard for me these past weeks because of all the music that runs through my head. I REALLY like pop music, but there isn't really any pop Christian music that I like, so I have been struggling with the music that runs through my head. Today, I was mowing the lawn and a secular song kept running through my head and I kept thinking, "Why is this in my head???" Then I thought, "I am letting it stay in my head!!! I could be singing the Christian songs that I know!!!" So I started that and *poof* the song was gone! No longer did it have a place to rest in my mind! I found out that it is much easier to withstand temptation when you are concentrating on God instead of all this secular junk!!!! So, I am REALLY excited about living for Jesus!!!! Have a GREAT week everyone!!!!!

NO Compromise!
Hey everyone!
Sorry that it has been such a long time since I have posted something. You may be wondering what in the world my title means. Well, it means that today my goal is to NOT compromise at all! This should be everyone's goal everyday, but this is what I am working extra hard for today. Ok, first let me tell you the definition of a compromise. This is from Dictionary.com it says that a compromise is "A settlement of differences in which each side makes concessions." Which means that instead of really choosing sides you just say I will be on both sides. In the Christian walk you CAN NOT do that!!!! I am learning that I need to follow Jesus with my whole heart. I can't compromise by giving Satan part of my brain space for my "Non-Christian" stuff. I need to give EVERYTHING to Jesus!!!! That means my music, my words, and my thoughts!!!! I have found that filling your mind with thoughts about our Lord and Savior sure helps when Satan tries to come in and fill our mind with a bunch of junk and tempt us. When you are listening to all this bad music and Satan comes along trying to tempt you how well do you think that you can withstand him? How about when you are filling your mind with thoughts of Jesus and what He was done for you? So, just try not to compromise today. Don't let Satan win even that small foothold! Because that is all he needs! Have a great day!!!!

Surrender
Hey everyone!
Sorry that it has been awhile since I have posted. I have to keep this short because I am going to get tutored in Algebra. Today I have decided to surrender it ALL to God. Because I can't expect to be able to live for Him if I am still holding on to little things of this world. I have to give ALL of my thoughts to Him. I am ready to serve Him fully and make a difference today! Have a great day everyone (I sure am planning on one!).
